A tale of two shots.

I took this picture the other day when I was preparing this post over at By the book.  usually when I’m taking pictures I snap two or three for every one situation I want, so that when I’m writing later I can pick the best one.    I snap this one then immediately (less then a second) snap another.

This is the second take.  Notice anything?   Look in the lower right hand corner.

Drawn in by the beautiful colors and tantalizing aroma’s, Florance the fly braved certain death just to be closer to the glorious sight that is Roasted Winter Vegatbles

Head on over to By the Book to see just how simple (and DELICIOUS) this heart warming recipe is!

But he’s BLUE!

I’m sitting at my desk, working away like any good employee would.  Call this person for money, calm that one down, pay this, cash that, fight with the border etc.

A white truck pulls onto the yard, and I casually glance out my office window to see my baby sister jump out and come skipping toward the building.   I get up and go meet her half way,  she has a huge smile plastered to her face and a hand behind her back.

“Hey girly, what you doing her?” I ask

“Me and Mom were out shopping and I found something that reminded me of you!” snicker snicker.

And with that she placed the following package in my hands, turned and dashed back to the truck, laughing.

Thanks kid!!! (insert eye roll)  So what, apparently I can’t find a real guy so I get a manufactered chemical one??  And he’s not even a normal looking chemical guy.  He’s BLUE!!

The boy comes with 10 reasons why he is a good choice, things like he never talks back, always agress etc.    My favorite line on the package is found on the top right hand corner. “True love in 72 hrs”  HAHA.   Man I had a good laugh at that one.  (Sadly I could probably find a few kids who’d buy that line in real life)

Anyway, after much prayer, thought and soul searching I came to the conculsion that a relationship between  me and the blue man wouldn’t work.  The reasons  for this heart wretching decison are:

1) He’s to short for me.  I can deal with a few inchs shorter, but not 5 feet

2) He’s blue.  Now color has never mattered to me before, but seriously  BLUE!  I’d have to wear black everytime we went out together to avoid clashing with him, and thats not a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

3) Monologes aren’t my style.

4) I’d always have to pay, drive, open my own doors etc

5) Kissing might be a little weird, to say the least.

6) We also have to take into account his depency on water.  I’m not talking drinking water, but constantly needing to be surronded by water!   I’m not sure that’s a fetish I can live with.

7) I don’t know how I feel about the fact that he can be bought so easily or cheaply.  What does that tell you about his character?

So I’m sorry dear sister, thank you for the thought, but I’m going to have to turn young blue man away.  But don’t worry I’ll try to let him down as easily as possible.  Maybe we can find him a nice young mermaid to date?
