It’s 9:00 am, Dec 24th.  

I’m sitting at my desk at work, , waiting.

Technically I have the day off.  Sort of.  The only catch is that I have to come in and wait until the mail arrives.  Once the mail comes then all I  need to do is throw the appropraite envelopes into there assigned places.  Then I run a small errand and can leave for the day!   Yippy!!   

The only hitch in this plan is that I have to wait for our mail lady.   Usually she’s very punctual, arriving at around 9 ish. But even 9 feels like forever away when you know that as soon as she comes you can go!  

So I sit here, , , waiting.   Waiting. . .. . . check my email.     Waiting. . . . read a fun recipe.   Waiting. . . . check facebook.  (14 new fun wall posts and only one is any good)  Waiting . . . waiting. . ..  check time. . 9:05. .no mail.     Waiting . . . . waiting . . . . boss walks in. . . chat for a minute or two. . . . boss leaves. . . check time . . 9:30 . .no mail.   Waiting . . . . I could start on a few projects that need to get done, but I know if I open up those files I’ll be here till 5, and although it may be wrong I don’t really want to work all day today.  I have the day off. . . sorta . .  kinda.

Since I have all this free time here I decided to share some fun Gingerbread house making pictures with you.

Here we have a picture of the houses in the very early stage of production.

Here are two of my weird sisters.  Lets name them the Crazy(blue) and the Mommy (green).  They’re both very crazy. 

The Crazy made a lovely firepit by her house, so we let her stay.

The Mommy brought a baby, , , so we let her stay to!!

Oh look it’s Twin!  We let her stay because she’s hot. (Sexy!!)

Twin’s house had a runway !!  Naturally.  She’s all about air stuff. . . um aviation!

Here’s the Mommy’s finished house.  Complete with a heart and a swing set; because she loves her kids, and one day she’ll get them a real swing set!!  Well I hope they get a swing set. . . . . if she doesn’t get them one I’m sure D’dad will swing it.  ( hee hee pun intended)

Here’s the Crazys finished work.  See the lovely fireplace, and the tree’s proped up with toothpicks!!  She’s crafty that one.

Here we have the Newbie’s house.   Believe it or not, but this was her very first gingerbread house EVER!!   Poor deprived Newbie!!   (We all gathered at Newbies house to construct these fine works of art!)

I was there to!  Really I was! I have proof!  But the proof happens to be a very badly shoot self portrait, in which I look like a druggie.   And so, you’ll just have to take my word for it that I was indeed there!   (Who else would have taken all these splendid pictures??)

Hey look it’s the Friend!!  She made a pond with flowers by her house.  

What creative people I hang with!!   Must mean I’m . . . . smart or artsy or something.

Ah Whatever. . . MAIL’S HERE!!!!
